Sridevi, Nagarjuna launched Ram Gopal Varma - Sunil Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam:Appalaraju was formally launched here today afternoon at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju stars Sunil in the lead pair.

Ram Gopal Varma is directing a straight Telugu cinema for after 12 years with Sunil as Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju.

Actress Sridevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Sumanth, Rana, and several other Telugu movie celebrities attended Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam film launch function.

Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju’ regular shooting would start from September 1st. The movie is produced by Kiran Kumar Koneru under Shreya Productions banner, which earlier produced movies like Siddham and Homam.

It seems that Ram Gopal Varma is fond of beauty babe Sridevi, and as such, he has roped in Sridevi for Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam movie launch.

On the muhurat shot of the film, a song was played in front all the guests who graced the event. The song, written by Kaluva Sai, criticizes even Ram Gopal Varma and then goes on commenting on all the leading directors from K Raghavendra Rao to Kodi Ramakrishna, from EVV to Krishnavamsi, from V V Vinayak to Puri Jagannadh.

Sunil says about Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju

Sunil says he is mighty thrilled on having his favourite actress Sridevi grace the launch of his movie 'Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju' tomorrow. This is possible only because of Ram Gopal Varma he adds. The shooting of a song will begin on September 3rd and go on till 5th. The actor is busy with dance practice for the past few days. How did Sunil bag the role? He replies, "This actually went to Ravi Teja but Ravi Teja told Ram Gopal Varma that he wouldn't be suitable for the role. When RGV asked if he could suggest some other name, he spoke about me and that's how this project became possible."

Swati is signed as female lead in Ram Gopal Varma’s straight film after 12 years of gap – ‘Katha, screenplay, direction: Appalaraju’. She will be paired with Sunil. This film showcases the journey of a simpleton Appalaraju who comes from Amalapuram to become a director of Telugu cinema. Kiran Koneru is producing it. The latest yet more interesting news making in the tinsel town is that yesteryear actress Sridevi is going to launch the movie and she agreed to attend the event on the request of sensational director RGV. It is note to mention that earlier RGV made two films with Sridevi – ‘Kshana Kshanam’ and ‘Govinda Govinda’. Adding more to this news colours Swathi is going to pair up with Sunil in this film.

Sources say that after a long gap of 12 years, RGV is going to wield the megaphone straight for a Telugu film. There is also a buzz that for the first time in this movie, a song will be canned on Sunil using 27 cameras. It is heard that after Rakta Charitra, RGV has come up with the idea of making this full length comedy script with a funny title. He himself is going to produce the film and is planning to make it in Hindi version too.

Young Rebel star Prabhas is busy shooting in Australia for a Telugu movie directed by Dasarath and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.

This Prabhas Dil Raju movie earlier completed shooting schedules in various locations like Ahobilam, Hyderabad and Malaysia. After this Australia schedule, the unit will be returning back to Hyderabad on 24th and continue their shooting here and then and would head to Pollachi.

Kajal Agarwal and Taapsee are playing the female leads in this film, which Dasarath has been working for quite some time. The movie is slated for year end release.

‘I want to work with RGV’ ; says Ravi Teja

Crazy star Ravi Teja, who is riding high on the success of his latest film ‘Don Seenu’, when asked about to name one director in the industry with whom he would like to work with, Ravi Teja said “I always wanted to work with Ram Gopal Varma. Seenu (Ravi Teja) always likes to be called as ‘Don’ Seenu since childhood due to the strong influence of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Don’. His only ambition is to become a don and this also gets him to the city.

Here, he joins hands with Machiraju (Sayaji) whose target is his biggest rival Narsing (Srihari).

Machiraju gives Seenu a task, to go to Germany and win the heart of Narsing’s sister whose marriage is fixed with the son of the super don Mukesh (Mahesh Manjrekar). Seenu goes to Germany and wins the heart of Deepthi (Shriya) and later, he discovers a twist which leads to various turns in the story.

'Don Seenu' Certified as U/A by Censor Board

Raviteja starrer which is all set to release on 6th August has been completed its censor certification today. Film certified U/A. The film's length is nearly 4745 meters which comes close to 3 hours of duration. It is known that Censor Board suggested two minor cuts before giving the film U/A certificate. Film makers are planning to release world wide with 300 prints. Film has generated good hype already in the film circles. Shriya Saran and Anjana Sukhani are paired up opposite Raviteja. Story :

Ramana (Krishnudu) is the only son of local MLA Akula Appa Rao (Jayaprakash Reddy). He falls in love with his college-mate Lavanya (Shraddha Arya). Ramana wants to propose her, and at the same time, he comes to know that she wanted to pursue higher education and needs five years time. In order to wait for her, Ramana starts failing in his degree exam for five years. Lavanya returns to the college as lecturer and surprised to notice Ramana in the class.

Then Ramana expresses his love to Lavanya and latter tells him to get through the examination first. Ramana completes his degree in first class, but Lavanya refuses his love again. When Ramana insists as to what prevented her from loving him, she says that she was the daughter of a beggar named Koneru Anjaneyulu Anji (AVS). Ramana tells his parents about his love and Appa Rao gets angry and sends goons to thrash Anji. what happens next should be seen on screen.
